Family Activities

One of the main differentiators of Balsam Mountain Preserve from the other master planned Club communities in the mountains is a singular focus on the family.  This is first and foremost a place to reconnect with those that are most important to you.  Every associate on the Balsam Mountain Preserve team is dedicated to providing every member of the family with meaningful opportunities to make authentic and lasting memories.

In the Spring, Summer, and Autumn seasons, the Preserve is alive with family activities.  Some of the activities revolve around our comprehensive amenity package, but many are based at the Nature Center, where three full-time naturalists open the doors to an exciting world of learning for every member of the family.  The season kicks off with the annual Camp Balsam celebration, welcoming families back to the mountain with entertainment, games, and great food.  The Preserve's summer camp programs are one of the most popular summer events, with camp sessions designed for toddlers all the way up to teens.

A weekly kid’s club provides children with new experiences such as arts and crafts projects, horseback riding, and nature walks.  Holidays are always celebrated family style, with parades, parties, and special surprises.
