Chef Jonathon Gillespie
Jonathon Gillespie, executive chef at Balsam Mountain Preserve, is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York, and also earned a B.S. degree in business finance. Jonathan served as Executive Chef at the Mobil Four Star Vista Verde Guest Ranch in Steamboat Springs, CO for nine years before arriving at Balsam Mountain Preserve. Prior to Vista Verde, he held several positions, including executive chef, at Christinne’s at Ironwood Golf and Country Club in Greenville, NC. His creations are featured in two books, The Great Ranch Cookbook and The Cool Mountain Cookbook, and have been published in Sunset and Bon Appetite magazines.
