Playing  to 6,784 yards, par of 70 and at elevations to 3,700 feet, Balsam Mountain is acclaimed as one of the most visually stunning courses in the country. Rather than having one signature hole, there are 18. And for these 18, all 14 clubs in the bag will be required.

Arnie’s approach to the game and his course design epitomize his mantra: You must play boldly to win. And Balsam is a crowning moment – a course where every nuance, every grade, every detail was considered, and flawlessly executed. It promises to be one of the most diverse and enjoyable rounds you will ever play.

The Palmer Practice Park lives up to the legend behind its name. Bentgrass teeing surfaces. Target fairways and greens. Even a 6-hole short course to hone your wedges. 

“The Park” is also home to the Balsam Academy, where golfers of every skill level will find expert instruction certain to make each round more enjoyable, and for  the devoted, a welcome reduction in handicap. Private lessons for yourself or your group are offered as part of the program.
