The second hole at the Club at Balsam Mountain is a sharp dogleg right. The player will want to keep it in play off the tee to avoid the fairway bunkers guarding the right side. The approach shot in should be played to the center of the green to avoid a deep bunker guarding the front of the putting surface.
The only par 5 on the front 9 is an excellent risk/reward hole. The yardage alone may lead a player to believe this is a “gettable” hole. Stay focused as the hole plays uphill and is well protected by streams, bunkers, ravines, and native fescues. Five is a good score on this hole.
