Contact us today to schedule a visit and see for yourself what it means to spend time with the ones you love most at Balsam Mountain Preserve
Like the people who choose Balsam, our amenities are each unique, filled with character, and always inviting. The amenity set is as unique as it is exceptional — an Arnold Palmer golf course that may be the most scenic mountain course in America. A tin-roof mountainside gathering house with deliberately squeaky floors, and yet another which is a contemporary masterpiece with a glass-walled private dining room and wine cellar. There’s more — an equestrian program, a conservancy center that features our birds of prey, a secret streamside campground, and a fitness, sporting and spa complex. Each enjoy their own place on the mountain, blending into the community just as our owners’ residences do — in perfect harmony with nature.
At elevations reaching 3,700 feet, this course rewards the senses with stunning scenery in every direction. Owners at Balsam enjoy ready access to this treasure. Those who live nearby may wish to enjoy our exclusive Garnet Membership, offering a rich club experience. And for those who wish to enjoy our Palmer Masterpiece along with practice and clubhouse amenities, a special day access program is available.
It is not only what you’ll eat and drink, but where that makes Balsam special. Clubhouses spill out to great lawns and fireplaces, to wide verandas and tree-top decks, places that ask you to pause and savor the moment. Ideal as well for savoring a culinary program that knows few equals — inspired, creative, original and that makes the most of our abundant local farms.
One of the most active places to gather at the Preserve is also a place for daily rituals — from fitness to relaxation. Ruby Valley is a destination where family and friends come to exercise, swim, play tennis and take in a relaxing massage. The Pavilion always invigorates, never disappoints.
Literally, physically and spiritually our community is bound by the ribbons of endless trails. Here we venture out with four- and two-legged friends, in every hour and season. Here we come to know Mother Nature on a first-name basis. Like Emerson, Thoreau and Abbey, we find joy afoot.
Whether a lifelong horse lover or a novice looking to saddle up for the first time, the Preserve’s equestrian team adds adventurous dimension to the Balsam lifestyle. Full boarding facilities and corrals, miles of well-conditioned trails and a team as welcoming as they are knowledgeable make this another very special reason to make your home on the mountain.
The Club at Balsam Mountain is a private club featuring the best of natural, mountain living. Whether it’s an early morning round of golf, an afternoon swim or yoga session, or an evening of fine wine, food, and friends — the Club takes every aspect of living at the Preserve to a higher level.
The Club offers several different membership levels, and each membership can be used by family members and guests. Membership privileges extend to children, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of members.
The Club at Balsam Mountain also offers a select number of memberships to those who live outside the gates — the Garnet Club. Members enjoy 90-day, nonsequential access to all of Balsam’s incredible array of amenities and the lifestyle that surrounds them. There are no Club dining minimums or annual membership assessments.
Garnet Members may convert to full equity membership upon purchase of real estate and credit will be given for previously paid dues and initiation fees. Garnet Membership is by invitation only and is not available to owners or lessees of property at Balsam Mountain Preserve.
Several different membership types and ways to discover Balsam Mountain are available. For those who wish to get better acquainted with our mountain as they explore real estate opportunities, we offer several play and stay packages. Our sales team would welcome an opportunity to arrange a visit.
